ANADYR, Jan 15 (PRIME) -- Gold production on Russia’s Chukotka peninsula increased 1.34% on the year to 24.452 tonnes in 2019, the regional government said on Wednesday.
Silver production rose 0.22% to 111.677 tonnes.
Ore gold output rose 2.56% to 22.097 tonnes, alluvial one fell 8.86% to 2.355 tonnes.
Kinross Gold raised production 7.38% to 15.194 tonnes and silver 0.77% to 103.331 tonnes. Its unit Chukotka Mining and Geological Company raised output 12.06% to 11.211 tonnes, silver production fell 0.9% to 95.788 tonnes. Severnoye Zoloto gold output fell 3.9% to 3.983 tonnes, silver one rose 28.12% to 7.543 tonnes.
Output of gold concentrate at the Maiskoye deposit, developed by Polymetal’s unit, fell 5.9% to 4.392 tonnes.
Production of Rudnik Karalveyem, owned by Israeli businessman Lev Levayev, fell by 2.25% to 1.671 tonnes.
Production of Valunisty Mine, controlled by Russian billionaire businessman Roman Abramovich’s Millhouse Group, rose 27.69% on the year to 840.71 kilograms of gold and silver one grew 23.61% to 8.134 tonnes.
